Jon Stewart mocks Thom Tillis for deregulated hand-washing comments
"On Wednesday night, Jon Stewart took aim the freshman senator from North Carolina, Thom Tillis. In response to a question about government regulation and restaurant worker hand washing at a local Starbucks, Sen.r Tillis, a staunch free-market conservative, recently stated:
“I don’t have any problem with Starbucks if they choose to opt out of this policy as long as they post a sign that says, ‘We don’t require our employees to wash their hands after they use the restroom.’ The market will take care of that.”
Naturally, Stewart had a field day with this comment."
